Azure Weekly

Issue #13 - 14th February 2015

The big news in the wider Microsoft ecosystem this week was the arrival of CoreCLR as an open source repo on GitHub. Scott Hanselman covers the event with a blog examining the repo using the Power BI preview. The blog uses Power BI's ability to connect to external data services (GitHub), search using natural language to reveal stats such as open issues from last year, and average time to close an issue.

In general Azure news this week, there's a new ebook from the Microsoft Press in the Azure Essentials series: Fundamentals of Azure by Michael Collier and Robin Shahan.

On the Azure Podcast, David Crook talks about the ways that Startups and Students are using Azure.
