Azure Weekly

Issue #261 - 9th February 2020

A few highlighted announcements from Azure this week: we've been told that the Backup Explorer is now available in preview, that Azure API Management now supports integration with Azure App Service and that OpenAPI v3 support in Azure API Management is now generally available.

Elsewhere this week, Ed Elliott has written about Passing status messages and results back from Databricks to ADF, Dimitri Furman has described Compute-optimized Fsv2 hardware in Azure SQL Database and Mark Russinovich has spoken about Advancing safe deployment practices.

Last week, a number of endjineers attended NDC London, which was a great success with many fascinating sessions. We've distilled all of our experiences into a number of blogs, for example, Jon George has written about dangerous AI, microservices, diagnostics and Blazor in his overview of day 1, whilst Ian and Carmel have also provided their takes on the day.

Finally, Carmel has written a brilliant, brave, thought-provoking blog post about her experiences with mental health and managing the challenges of remote working. It is well worth a read, whether or not you work from home.
